Different types of cosmetics packaging

Amongst many options in packaging material, plastic is a top favorite because of its many benefits. Plastic was the most preferred material for packaging cosmetic products even at a time when the issue of plastic pollution was at its zenith. Shrink Wrapping - Polymer plastic film is used for shrink wrapping. When heat is applied after covering a product with the plastic film, the clear plastic shrinks tightly around the shape of the product. It is generally used as an overwrap on other types of cosmetic packaging such as cartons, boxes and so on. Shrink wrapping protects the product and at the same time displays the item within for customers to see.

Pouches / Bags - Pouches are small or medium sized containers for holding products. For instance, some manufacturers provide products for eye make-up in a pouch, making it easy for the customers to hold and carry the product. Lotions of different fragrances in visually appealing airless pump bottles are sometimes provided in bags as part of promotional drives.
